Yen Yoga & Fitness is a teacher-based, multi-disciplinary studio based in Traverse City, Michigan. We serve a vibrant community of learners who wish to live life in balanced, healthy, ethical and joy-filled ways.


We seek to support our community by helping develop each student’s well-being as a personal journey emphasizing mind, body and spirit.


As the leading mind-body studio in the greater Northern Michigan region, we serve our community by offering new ways to seek and foster wellness. We offer instruction in several styles of yoga, pilates, spinning, meditation, kettlebell, qigong, and Zumba, in addition to hosting frequent workshops on a broad range of topics related to health and whole living. It is our vision to be the fitness mecca of the Midwest by offering an exceptional experience to students and providing the most advanced training center for teachers through hosting nationally recognized experts and masters.

    I have been a memeber since the end of June. I had taken 2 classes prior to becoming a part of Yen Yoga…I love the classes I have taken so far. It is a wonderful place. I am on a journey through grief ( my spouse died 3 years ago ). Yoga has helped me is so many ways. Thank you for being…

    I have been a borderline diabetes for a couple of years. I kept saying I can do this myself but yet I changed nothing. Finally my doctor said this is it, we need to do more to fight this. The first of Dec. 2011 I stated taking the 30/20/10 & some yoga classes, which I had never done before. I went back to the doctor the middle of Feb. and I had lost 10# and my A1C levels had gone down also. The classes with Melissa Ray and Christen Landry, with a few other teachers thrown in have been wonderful about making me feel better about myself and getting me healthy again. If I can get my numbers down, anyone can. I want to thank everyone who have been training me and to let you know your teachers are the best.

    I’m a Spinning instructor from the Grand Rapids area…heard about your studio from my daughter who was in TC last week. She was impressed with your place…and the Cycle studio, so I had to check it out on line…and next time I’m in Traverse.

    You have a really nice fitness and nutrition blog, enjoyed your soup recipe as well.     Hola ! Hi !
    In recipes to start the new year , I start reading how to cook the brocoli
    Says , cook about 7 minutes until is brown
    Well this is totally wrong
    Bit cut brócoli about 4 minutes is enough
    Ir you over cook , the vegetable lose all the nutrients.
    Soory muy english I m from Spain
