This week: awesome, simple things to inspire wonder.

By tracking the location of photos loaded onto a Google site, Sitesmap has created a sightseeing heatmap. Popular vacation spots are well represented, but Greenland and Russia look mighty lonely. Since people rarely take pictures of sad occasions, does this mean these are the happiest places?

As a lover of books and someone who also moves with frightening frequency, I often have to get rid of books and magazines. It’s always saddened me to take them to Goodwill where I fear they will get lost in the shuffle and not properly loved. This ingenious solution would brighten any neighborhood and make your house the most popular one on the block!
